BNFO-391 - Functional genomics
Lab course on functional genomics, primarily for bioinformatics students. Basic molecular lab techniques will be covered, such as PCR, cloning of genes into expression vectors, transformation into bacteria, induction of gene expression and phenotyping of bacteria. Methods and theory will be taught using Wikipedia, which students are expected to write after reading scientific papers.
